Questions for this shipment:

Question: What kind of target price do you have on this? (9/7/2008)
Response: I purchased one a few years ago and it shipped from Northern Tool to Aroostook County ME for $150. This is a shorter distance.... I'm in no hurry so willing to work with the haulers schedule. Thanks (9/8/2008)
Question: I can pick up Thurs Morn $400. (9/8/2008)
Response: Thanks - however, I can make the trip myself for a fair amount less. I purchased one a few years ago and it shipped from Northern Tool to Aroostook County ME for $150. This is a shorter distance.... I'm in no hurry so willing to work with the haulers schedule. (9/8/2008)
Response: How about $300 picked up Thurs? (9/9/2008)
Response: Thanks but I'm not in a rush to get it moved. (9/9/2008)
Question: When is this ready to ship? and When do you need it by? Thanks! Bill (9/8/2008)
Response: Bill - It should be ready in a week or so. I am looking for a good rate so its really no rush. thanks Jeff Dutton (9/8/2008)
Question: If a 10/10-10/14 timeframe is acceptable, I can pickup in PA & deliver to my destination in Townsend, MA (120 miles from you) for your desired amount of $150. I can deliver to ME door-to-door for $250. Will bid if this is agreeable. (9/8/2008)
Response: Hello - Tell me more about the townsend location. I will need some flexibility when I can get there. I am getting a fair amount of interest on this and just put it up for bid a few days ago. If you can get it to Portland for $200, or Townsend for less than $125 with flexibility and no added costs, we can wrap this up - otherwise, go ahead and bid and I'll have to see what else happens. thanks for the question Jeff Dutton (9/8/2008)
Response: Ballast box can be stored in a barn in Townsend for as long as you need to arrange pickup. I'm bidding on a larger load also going to your general area...I'll wait a day or two before bidding to see if that falls into place. If so, may be able to deliver to ME for close to your target price. Thanks,Wiregrassw (9/8/2008)
Response: Good luck. Let me know how you make out. Jeff Dutton (9/8/2008)
Question: A few years ago fuel was not 4.50 per gallon and gas wasnt 3.80.. If you can get it for far less than 400 dollars for a 1200 mile round trip plus tolls. please tell us what you drive so we can go get one... :) LOL Good luck with this, I wish I could help but even the 400 fee would be cheap. (9/8/2008)
Response: I have one bid for $250 delivered to my door and another for $150 to Massachusetts after being listed for a day or so. If you can match these, then we should talk. I'm in the paper industry and understand the fuel issue and shipping costs very well. To me, the prices quoted above seem about right and are typical of the questions I have received so far. For the size and weight and assuming typical LTL charges, $400 from PA to Maine is steep. I drive a Chevy Silverado, 2500, diesel, 19.8 mpg. On-road diesel is 4.27 in Maine which tends to be slightly above average... Thats my alternative if all else fails. I appreciate the response and if something else works out then let me know. I'll keep the bid open for the full 14 days. Thanks Jeff Dutton (9/8/2008)
Question: Hi you said you are going to keep the bid open for 14 days. We are making a trip to ohio and could bring this back this weekend. Would you accept a bid if the price is right? Thanks harry (9/8/2008)
Response: Harry - Please note that the box will now not be available for pickup until the week of the 21st. My apologies as I found this out today. (9/10/2008)
