I am retired. I just have a SMALL truck, an F350, with dualls and 4WD, and have JUST formed my LLC and am waiting for my DOT and MC numbers. I still have LOTS to learn and I DO NOT SPEED, so my trips tend to last a few hours more than most, but I don't get any tickets either - the last one was in 1983! I have been operating under other's numbers and pulling trailers around America - having a really good time with my wife as my co-pilot. We want to get involved a little more so that we MAY make a little more money. We have a very small income - $732 Social Security - and we're looking for a little bit more. We have a CPA who's going to keep us out of trouble with taxes and insurance (we hope) and we are looking forward to moving trailers, BUT, we have to stay under 26,000 pounds - soooo - that leaves us with the smaller loads that may not make sense to guys with REAL trucks.
